(A) It shall be unlawful for any person to own or keep a dog or dogs in the city without first obtaining a license for each dog. Licensing of dogs in Jefferson County falls under the jurisdiction of the Louisville/Metro Animal Control and the requirements are set forth in Metro Ordinance No. 290, Series 2007 (Section 91.020).
(B) This section shall not apply to dogs whose owners are nonresidents temporarily within the city for a period less than 30 days.
