Any owner and/or tenant of any property within the corporate boundaries of the city of Wenona who violates this chapter shall be fined two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) for the first offense, five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the second offense and seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for the third and subsequent offenses.
The chief of police or his designee will issue a city ordinance citation to the defendant for a violation of this chapter. The chief of police or his designee will serve the ordinance violation to the defendant either by posting it on the property on which the alleged violation exists in a conspicuous place at the entrance door or avenue of the access to the property, by mailing a copy of the citation to the defendant by certified mail, by delivering a copy of the citation to the defendant in person, or by leaving it in the possession of any person in charge of the property at that time.
