It is unlawful for any owner and/or tenants of any property to permit any grass exceeding six inches (6") in height to grow. Tall grass found growing in excess of six inches (6") on any property within the city shall be mowed by the city at the expense of the owners and/or tenants of the property. This includes parkway adjacent to any private property within the city. The "parkway" is defined to be the area between the property owner's real estate and the street or alley surfaced by the city and shall be maintained by the said property owner.
