7-2-17: BARBED WIRE FENCES:
   A.   It shall be unlawful for a person to build, erect, use or maintain any fence or barrier consisting of what is known as "barbed wire", or of which barbed wire is a part, along the line of or in or upon or along any street, alley or sidewalk, or through or around any public park, land or lot.
   B.   Where any such barbed wire is used contrary to the provisions of this Section, the same shall be removed upon written notice of the Superintendent of Water and Streets. Any person owning, building or controlling such fence who shall fail to remove such fence, or the barbed wire thereof, upon notice, shall be guilty of a violation of this Chapter and upon conviction shall be fined not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than twenty dollars ($20.00) for each offense, and a further penalty of five dollars ($5.00) for every day that he shall continue to maintain such fence after the first conviction.
