It shall be unlawful for any person to smoke or carry a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe or match, or any spark, or flame; or to ignite any fire producing device in any elevator in the City.
It shall be the responsibility of the owner or party controlling any elevator in the City to display a "No Smoking" sign in the elevator. Failure to display a "No Smoking" sign shall be considered a violation of this Section.
Any person violating any provisions of this Section shall be fined not less than twenty five dollars ($25.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense, and each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues shall constitute a separate offense. (1994 Code)
