Any person desiring to conduct or engage in the sale for gain at public auction of jewelry, including solid or plated platinum, gold, or silver pieces, or imitations thereof, precious, semi-precious, or synthetic jewels or imitations thereof, with or without settings, watches and chains, rings, pins, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or other similar articles of ornamentation or utility, shall first obtain a jewelry auction license, and pay the fee of $25. Each license shall terminate automatically at the end of the period for which it is issued, which shall not exceed 30 days.
