§ 93.50 FIRE CONTROL COMMITTEE.
   (A)   There is hereby created the Fire Control Committee of the village which shall consist of the Mayor, Village Administrator, and Fire Chief, with the Mayor to act as chairperson. The duties of the Fire Control Committee shall be to receive, consider, and act upon all written applications to conduct outside burning operations of any type not expressly permitted in § 93.01(A)(1) and (A)(2), and to deny such applications or issue permits to burn under the following guidelines.
      (1)   Garbage, tires, and trash other than wood, tree cuttings, logs, or other brush cutting and leaves may not be permitted to be burned under any circumstances, nor shall the burning of any other substance that creates noxious or hazardous fumes be permitted.
      (2)   No permit to burn shall be granted that could be hazardous to life, limb, or property and shall be permitted only under fire safety guidelines established by the Fire Control Committee and approved by the Fire Chief.
      (3)   A permit to burn for the purpose of disposing of the aforesaid permissible types of materials so as to avoid the necessity of other possible methods of disposal shall be granted only if a majority of the Fire Control Committee determines that the public good requires it.
      (4)   The Fire Control Committee may give permits for burning of fires for recreational or ceremonial purposes and outdoor cooking of food beyond that allowed without permit under § 93.01(A)(1).
