ADOPTING ORDINANCE

ORDINANCE NO. 2023-10-01

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE TOWN OF WELLSTON CODE OF ORDINANCES IN ITS ENTIRETY AND REPLACING IT WITH THE WELLSTON CODE OF ORDINANCES AS SET FORTH IN THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT "A"; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY.

   WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Wellston has determined that it is necessary to repeal and replace the entire Code of Ordinances in its entirety.

   NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF WELLSTON, OKLAHOMA, that

SECTION 1.   The Town of Wellston Code of Ordinances is hereby revoked in its entirety.

SECTION 2.   That the Town of Wellston Code of Ordinances as set forth in the attached Exhibit "A" is hereby adopted in its entirety.

SECTION 3.   The provisions of this Ordinance are severable, and if any part or provision hereof shall be adjudged invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such adjudication shall not affect or impair any of the remaining parts or provisions hereof.

SECTION 4.   That an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and for the provision of the public peace, health and safety, by reason whereof it is necessary that all acts take effect immediately and be in full force and effect from, and after the passage and approval.

   ADOPTED AND APPROVED and the EMERGENCY CLAUSE ruled on separately this 12th day of October 2023.
