(A) (1) Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic, or in compliance with law or the directions of a police officer or official traffic-control device, no person shall:
(a) Stop, stand or park a vehicle:
1. On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of a street, except as authorized otherwise in this section;
2. On a sidewalk;
3. Within an intersection;
4. On a crosswalk;
5. Along or opposite any street excavation or obstruction when stopping, standing or parking would obstruct traffic;
6. On any railroad tracks; or
7. At any place where official signs prohibit stopping or parking.
(b) Stand or park a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except momentarily to pick up or discharge a passenger or passengers:
1. In front of a public or private driveway;
2. Within ten feet of a fire hydrant;
3. Within ten feet of a crosswalk at an intersection; except in marked parking spaces;
4. Within 30 feet upon the approach to any flashing signal, stop sign or traffic-control signal located at the side of a roadway;
5. Within 20 feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station; or
6. At any place where official signs prohibit standing.
(2) Any business, garage or filling station duly licensed by the state and/or town may reserve such portions along the curb in front of their establishments as is necessary to be used by them or their customers in the conduct of their business. Those desiring to avail themselves of the benefits of this division (A)(2) shall provide markers on the curb designating the space so reserved at their own expense.

(3) It is unlawful for any truck or bus to be parked or stored on public or private property within an area zoned for residential use or in other zoning districts within 300 feet of residential subdivisions, except for the purposes of loading and unloading.
(4) (a) The following trucks or buses are exempt from the 300-foot restriction in division (A)(3) above:
1. Those used in businesses lawfully established within commercial or industrial zoning districts;
2. Those used for farming by the owner or occupant in agricultural zoning districts; or
3. Buses operated by schools and churches within residential zones.
(b) For the purpose of this division (A)(4), the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates of requires a different meaning.
BUS. Any vehicle designed to carry more than 18 passengers and used for the transportation of persons; and every motor vehicle, other than a taxicab, designed and used for the transportation of persons for compensation excluding school buses owned and operated by public or private schools or school districts and church buses from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
TRUCK. Any truck above one ton capacity or truck-trailer with or without semi-trailer or pole-trailer attached or any other combination of vehicles.
(B) When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle at any time upon any of the designated streets, except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or traffic-control device. No vehicle shall be parked, stored, stood or otherwise left on any street in the town for a period of time longer than 24 hours.

(C) (1) It shall be unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle or allow a motor vehicle to remain parked in any parking space designated by signs or other markings as two-hour parking contrary to the provisions of this division (C). The areas within the town located within the 300 block on Second Street will be marked with two-hour parking signs.
(2) (a) The merchants within the above area will be responsible for monitoring the parking.
(b) If any vehicle remains parked in any such parking space beyond a two-hour period, such vehicle shall be considered as parked overtime.
(c) The merchant will come to the Town Hall and sign a complaint.
