§ 30.16 BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
   (A)   (1)   The town’s Board of Trustees shall consist of one Trustee from each ward of the town. Each Trustee shall be an actual resident of his or her respective ward. The term of office for a Trustee shall be four years beginning at 12:00 noon on the second Monday following the general municipal election.
      (2)   The Trustee shall serve until his or her successor is elected and qualified. The terms of the Trustees shall be staggered so that at the general municipal election in 1983, the following officers are elected for four-year terms: Trustees from odd-numbered wards.
   (B)   At the general municipal election in 1985, the following officers are to be elected for four-year terms: Trustees from even-numbered wards.
