(a) Upon request, the City shall review and determine if an additional collection (special pick-up) can be provided by the City. If the City determines a special pick-up is necessary by the City, an additional charge shall be imposed for each special pick-up. The charge for a special pick-up by the City shall be either a minimum of thirty dollars ($30.00) or such higher charge as shall be determined to be appropriate by the City’s Street Superintendent based on the amount or volume of items to be picked up by the City.
(b) The City shall charge a fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) to pick up and dispose of a Christmas tree.
(c) During certain periods proclaimed by resolution of Council to be general Municipal beautification and clean-up periods those charges contained within this section shall be suspended for that period.
(d) Yard waste: Yard waste is defined as grass, branches, hedge clippings, dirt, leaves, and any organic matter produced on the grounds of the property. Property owners are prohibited from disposing of yard waste with their regular garbage. Yard waste may be reduced to mulch and reapplied to the property or placed in plastic bags and placed at the front curb of the property for special pick-up at a cost of one dollar ($1.00) per thirty gallon bag. The pick-up day(s) will be designated by the Street Superintendent.
