Whoever violates any provision of this article, or makes any false statement concerning any material fact in submitting an application for a license or for a renewal of a license or in any hearing concerning the suspension or revocation thereof, or commits any of the acts herein declared to be unlawful, shall for each offense be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00), or imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both.
