For the purposes of this article, the following words and phrases shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to them by this section:
(a) "At large" means off the premises of the owner or harborer, and not under the control of the owner or harborer, or a member of his immediate family, either by leash, cord, chain or otherwise.
(b) “Cat” means any animal of the species felis catus, whether male or female.
(c) "Dog" means any animal of the canine species, whether male or female.
(d) “Domesticated cat” means a cat which has an owner and which is accustomed to contact with humans or is not dangerous to humans.
(e) “Feral cat” means a cat which is not domesticated. “Feral cat” does not include stray cats, but it does include the offspring of a stray cat if the stray cat owner fails to take control of it.
(f) "Owner" means any person owning, keeping or harboring a dog or cat.
(g) “Stray cat” means a domesticated cat which is lost or has been abandoned by its owner and is at large for such reason.
