The Historic Landmarks Commission created by Section 153.01 shall consist of five members who shall be appointed by the Mayor from the residents of the City.
The members of the Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor as follows: Three members for a term of three years and two members for a term of two years, and upon the expiration of each such term, and each succeeding term, an appointment of successors shall be made in like manner by appointment of the Mayor, but upon recommendation of the then existing Wellsburg Historic Landmarks Commission, for a period of four years. Vacancies shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor, upon recommendation of the then existing Wellsburg Historic Landmarks Commission for an unexpired term in the same manner as the original appointment.
The Commision shall have the following officers: president, vice-president, and secretary-treasurer, which officers shall be decided upon by the members of the Wellsburg Historic Landmarks Commission. (4-12-83)
