135.03  DISCIPLINE.
   It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police to suspend, discharge or otherwise discipline subordinate deputies or subordinate officers of the Police Department for the infraction by such deputies or police officers of any police regulations relating to the conduct of the officers duly promulgated as provided by law, or for any other infractions of rules and regulations,  lawful orders of the Chief of Police, statutes of the State and of the United States and ordinances of the City.  Such action of the Chief of Police in disciplining, discharging or suspending a deputy or subordinate police officer of the City shall be in accordance with West Virginia Code Article 8-14 pertaining to civil service for municipal police departments.
