(a) There is hereby created the position of Zoning Inspector for the Municipality. Said Zoning Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the majority of Council. The Zoning Inspector shall be available for regular office hours as established by Council and shall attend all Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals meetings and perform such duties as are consistent with the municipal Zoning Ordinance and such other duties as may be designated by the Planning Commission with the approval of Council.
(b) The Mayor, with the approval of the Council, may appoint one or more, full-time or part-time Assistant Zoning Inspectors. Such duly appointed employees shall have the same lawful authority as the Zoning Inspector and may act or enforce ordinances to the same extent as the Zoning Inspector. (Ord. 2008-58. Passed 2-2-09.)
