137.03 INTERIM VILLAGE MANAGER.
   In the event that, for any reason, the position of “Village Manager” should become vacant, the Mayor may, with the approval of Council, designate an existing employee of the Village to serve as “Interim Village Manager,” on a temporary basis. In the event of such an appointment, the individual shall temporarily assume the duties, responsibilities, and authority of the position of Village Manager; at the termination of such interim appointment, the individual shall revert to his regular duties, position, and compensation. While serving in the position of Interim Village Manager, the employee shall receive the compensation and benefits set for his regular position, increased by a gross amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000) per month (pro rated over the time he actually serves in the interim position).
