(a) Title. This Chapter shall be known as the “Sweepstakes/Internet Café” Ordinance.
(b) Purpose and Objectives. It is the purpose of this Chapter and the policy of the Village of Wellington to establish standards for licensing and regulation of computerized sweepstakes intended devices and/or internet cafes within which they are located and operated. This Chapter is intended to prevent safety and fire hazards, prevent disturbances, preserve the peaceful enjoyment of neighboring establishments and residences, and prevent gambling, truancy, and other criminal behavior in the Village.
