927.06 PERMIT FOR PRIVATE CONNECTIONS; MORATORIUM ON PERMITS.
   (a)   (1)   No other private electric service or means of electricity generation, including but not limited to a turbine, a solar array, a generator, or otherwise, shall be used by an electricity consumer in conjunction with the Village's electrical service, either by means of an automatic or manually operated switch, or by any other device, connection or arrangement which may be directly or indirectly connected to the Village's electrical distribution system, without an express permit issued by the Village Administrator or his designee, especially obtained for that purpose.
      (2)   Any violation of paragraph (1) shall authorize the Village to immediately, and without notice, discontinue its service entirely and remove its property.
   (b)   (1)   Any private electric service or means of electricity generation to be connected to the electrical distribution system of the Village shall be subject to the approval of the Village Administrator or his designee and shall only be installed, upon the issuance of a permit therefor, and in accordance with the regulations of the National Electrical Code and such Village ordinances that may apply to the same.
      (2)   No new permit, approval, or consent required by this Section shall be issued by the Village Administrator or his designee prior to January 1, 2011.
   (c)   Notwithstanding the foregoing, no new permit shall be required under this section for any installation which has been lawfully installed and is in operation on the effective date of this section.
