(a) There is hereby established a Building Department and office of Building Inspector of the Municipality to enforce the Ohio Basic Building Code. Said Building Inspector shall have full authority to enforce all laws, statutes and regulations as provided and authorized in the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Administrative Code pursuant to the certification approved by the Ohio Board of Building Standards and as established by ordinance.
(b) The Building Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of a majority of Council. Appointments may be revoked by the Mayor, with the approval of the majority of Council at any time.
(c) Said Department shall have full authority to enforce all laws, statutes and regulations as provided and authorized in the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Administrative Code pursuant to the certification approved by the Ohio Board of Building Standards.
