1177.018 PARKING SPACE REQUIREMENTS.
   Off-street parking is not required in the CB-1 District. For the purposes of this Zoning Ordinance, the following parking space requirements shall apply for all other districts:

Two spaces for each dwelling unit.
Apartment or multiple-family dwellings.
Two spaces for each unit dwelling unit.
Bed and breakfast operations, boardinghouses, rooming houses, dormitories, and fraternity houses which have sleeping rooms.
One space for each sleeping room or suite, plus two spaces for each resident family or one space for each employee.
Manufactured Homes.
Two spaces for each unit.
Commercial
Automobile or machinery sales.
One space for every 800 square feet of floor area.
Automobile service stations which also provide repair.
Two spaces for each service bay, plus one space for each 1.5 employees.
Hotels, motels.
One space per room or suite, plus one space per every three employees on the largest work shift, plus one space per three persons to the maximum capacity of each public meeting and/or banquet room, plus 50 percent of the spaces otherwise required for accessory uses.
Funeral parlors/homes, mortuaries, and similar type uses.
one for each 100 square feet of floor area in slumber rooms, parlors, or service rooms. One space for each 50 square feet of floor area in the public rooms, plus one space for each vehicle maintained on the premises, plus one space for each employee.
General retail stores.
One for each 250 square feet of floor area. If less than 5,000 square feet of floor area, one space per every 250 square feet of floor area; if over 5,000 square feet of floor area, 20 spaces, plus one space per every 400 square feet in excess of 5,000 square feet of floor area.
Furniture and appliance stores, household equipment, furniture repair shops over 1,000 square feet in floor area.
One space for each 400 square feet of floor area.
Printing or publishing shop or similar service establishment.
One space for each two employees on the maximum working shift, plus one space per each 500 square feet of floor area open to the public, for customer parking, but, in all cases, a minimum of two customer parking spaces.
Retail stores or personal service establishments except as otherwise specified herein.
If less than 5,000 square feet of floor area, one space per every 250 square feet of floor area; if over 5,000 square feet of floor area, 20 spaces, plus one space per every 400 square feet in excess of 5,000 square feet of floor area..
Offices, public or professional administration, or service buildings.
One space for each 400 square feet of floor area.
All other types of business or commercial uses permitted in any business district.
One space for each 300 square feet of floor area.
Banks, financial institutions, and similar uses.
One space for each 100 square feet of floor area devoted to general banking services for public use, plus one space for each 250 square feet devoted to office use. Each drive-up window shall have sufficient stacking room for six cars, and a bypass lane shall be provided.
Road-side stands.
Two spaces.
Recreational or Entertainment
Dining rooms, restaurants, taverns, night clubs, cafes or similar eating, recreation, or amusement establishments.
One space for each 200 square feet of floor area.
Bowling alleys.
Five spaces for each alley or lane plus one additional space for each 100 square feet of the area used for restaurant, cocktail lounge, or similar use; plus one space per employee.
Private clubs or lodges.
One space for every three persons allowed within the maximum occupancy load as established by local, county, or state fire, building, or health codes.
Country club or golf club.
Ten parking spaces per hole plus one space per 35 square feet of floor area for public assembly.
Dance floors, skating rinks.
One space for each 100 square feet of floor area.
Parks and Playgrounds
Ten parking spaces are required for each playground area.
Outdoor swimming pools, public or community or club.
One for each five persons capacity plus one for each four seats, or one for each 30 square feet floor area used for seating purposes, whichever is greater. One space for each 100 square feet of water surface area, plus one for each 30 square feet of gross floor area used for spectator seating purposes.
Auditoriums and assembly halls (other than school associated), sport arenas, theaters, stadium or gymnasium, and similar uses.
One space for each four seats or bench seating spaces.
Dance and assembly halls without fixed seats, exhibition halls (except church assembly rooms in conjunction with auditorium).
One space for each 100 square feet of gross floor area used for assembly or dancing, plus one space per employee.
Institutional
Churches and other places of religious assembly.
One for each five seats. One space for each six seats in the main assembly room, or one space per each 12 feet of bench length. On- street parking within 500 feet of the building, except in residential areas, may be used toward fulfilling this requirement.
Hospitals.
One space for each two beds; plus 1.5 spaces for each emergency room examination table or bed; plus one space per employee on the maximum working shift, other than the doctors; plus one space per doctor assigned to the staff.
Sanitariums, convalescent homes, homes for the aged, nursing homes, children’s homes, and similar uses.
One space per six patient beds, plus one space per employee on the largest working shift, plus one space per staff member and visiting doctor.
Medical and dental clinics.
Two spaces for each examination or treatment room, plus one space for each physician and other employees.
Community centers, libraries, museums, and art galleries.
One space for each 300 square feet of floor area, plus one space per two employees.
Schools
(public, parochial, or private)
Elementary and junior high schools.
One space for each classroom and each 1.5 employees, plus off-street loading space for at least two school buses.
High schools.
One space for every eight students and one for each teacher and staff member. Adequate parking for stadium and auditorium must be provided as required by the Planning Commission.
Business, technical, and trade schools.
One space for each two students.
Colleges and universities.
One space for each four students.
Kindergartens, child care facility, nursery schools, and similar uses.
Two spaces for each three teachers, employees, or administrators, and one off- street passenger loading space for every eight pupils.
Industrial
All types of manufacturing or industrial establishments, storage and wholesale, research or testing laboratory, creamery, bottling plant, warehouse or similar establishments, or uses permitted in any industrial district.
One space for every two employees (on the larger shift for which the building is designed) plus space to accommodate all trucks and other vehicles used in connection therein.
Wholesale establishments or warehouses.
One space for each two employees on the largest shift for which the building is designed.
Cartage, express, parcel delivery and freight terminals.
One space for every two employees (on the largest shift for which the building is designed); one space per each 500 square feet of floor area open to the public, for customer parking, but in all cases, a minimum of two customer parking spaces; and one space for each motor vehicle maintained on the premises.
