Within residential districts, only the following signs shall be allowed:
(a) One (1) sign advertising the sale of products raised or produced on the premises shall be permitted providing it does not exceed six square feet (6 sq. ft.).
(b) One (1) sign for home occupations, professional activities and non-conforming uses where existing or permitted shall be permitted, providing it does not exceed six square feet (6 sq. ft.)
(c) Bulletin boards and signs for a church, school, community or other public or semi-public institutional buildings and permitted conditional uses shall be permitted provided the area of such bulletin board or sign shall not exceed sixteen square feet (16 sq. ft.) per face.
(d) Wall signs pertaining to a non-conforming use shall be permitted if on the same premises of such use, provided the area of such signs does not exceed sixteen square feet (16 sq. ft.).
(e) No building wall shall be used for display of advertising, except pertaining to the use carried on within such building.
(f) Permanent signs for any other lawful purpose shall be permitted within residential districts, providing that the total square footage of all such signs erected on the property shall not exceed six (6) square feet.
