923.01 DEFINITIONS.
   Unless the context specifically indicates otherwise, the meaning of terms used in this chapter shall be as follows:
   (a)    "Building drain" means that part of the lowest horizontal piping of a drainage system which receives the discharge from any or all of the roof, footer and foundation drains, or other drainage pipe inside or outside the walls of the building to within four feet from the exterior wall and conveys it to the building sewer.
   (b)    "Building sewer" means the extension from the building drain to the intersection with the public storm sewer, also called house connection; the building sewer is considered the property of the owners of the premises served by the building sewer.
   (c)    "Roadway property" means any property that is within a dedicated and accepted street right-of-way and that is either under the improved roadway surface or within twelve inches of the curb or improved roadway surface.
   (d)    "Damage" to a building sewer means the collapse of a sewer tile or tiles that obstructs the flow of effluent in the sewer line or a separation of tiles that causes an obstruction in the flow of effluent in the sewer line.
   (e)    "Roadway property building sewer repair work" means:
      (1)    Excavation within roadway property;
      (2)    Opening, closing and returning the roadway to its former state; and
      (3)    Repairing or replacing line materials that lie within the road property.
