§ 549.15 OPERATING MOTORIZED VEHICLES ON WALKING AND BIKING PATHS PROHIBITED.
   (A)   Definitions.
      LICENSED VEHICLE. Motorized vehicle licensed for use on public highways.
      MARKED PATHWAY. A public pathway that is marked by signage as to its usage at the public points of entrances.
      NON-LICENSED OPERATOR. Operator of a motorized vehicle that is not licensed to operate a vehicle on public highways. May be an underage operator.
      NON-LICENSED VEHICLE. Motorized vehicle not licensed for use on public highways.
      PUBLIC PATHWAY. A trail, road, or path designated by a public body as a public hiking, walking, biking path and that does not permit motorized vehicle usage.
   (B)   Offense. No person shall operate a motorized vehicle upon a public pathway designated and marked for non-motorized use, with the exclusion of maintenance and emergency/patrol vehicles.
   (C)   Property damage. In addition, operator shall be fined the cost to repair the pathway, gates or other public property damaged.
   (D)   Vehicle. All non-authorized motorized vehicles found operating on the pathway shall be confiscated and held until hearing date. Towing and storage costs shall be paid before the vehicle is released.
   (E)   Underage operator. All fines and costs shall be the responsibility of the parents, guardian, or adult person legally in charge of the minor.
