§ 1783.02 AUTHORITY.
   The Building Enforcement Agency, acting by majority vote, shall have the power and authority to require the repair, alteration or improvement, or the vacating and closing or removal or demolition, of any combination thereof, or any dwelling or other building situated in the city which is unfit for human habitation in accordance to standards set in the state building code or city ordinances due to dilapidation, defects increasing the hazard of fire, accidents or other calamities, lack of ventilation, light or sanitary facilities, or any other conditions prevailing in any dwelling or other building, whether used for human habitation or not, which would cause such building to be unsafe, unsanitary, dangerous or detrimental to the public safety or welfare.
