§ 553.03 DISCHARGING FIREARMS; HUNTING.
   No personal shall shoot or discharge any type of firearm within the city limits, except at an indoor commercial, recreational shooting range facility which is owned and/or operated by a qualified, federal firearms licensed weapons instructor and be governed by the guideline set forth by the City of Weirton Unified Development Ordinance, and state and federal laws to include EPA standards. No person shall hunt game within the city limits by use of a firearm. However, hunting by bow and arrow is hereby permitted only in designated areas. Hunting by bow and arrow shall conform to all state statutes, rules and regulations governing or regulating hunting by bow and arrow. The Chief of Police of the city is hereby authorized to promulgate reasonable rules and regulations, including the setting of license fees to regulate bow hunting within the city as permitted herein.
