§ 303.06 POWERS AND DUTIES.
   (A)   Except as otherwise provided, it shall be the duty of the Traffic Commission, whenever authorized and directed by an order of Council, to erect and place, or cause to be erected and placed, proper signs and markers or other traffic warning devices or traffic control devices of any kind indicating limited or prohibited parking, angle parking, parking of official vehicles, parking of public service vehicles, one-way streets, restricted speed areas, through or arterial streets, stop streets, U-turns, hazardous intersections, turning at intersections, safety zones, play streets, school zones, hospital zones, loading and unloading zones, quiet zones, traffic control signals exhibiting colored lights or the words “go,” “caution” or “stop” and other signs, markers or devices indicating the place and manner of operating or parking vehicles within the corporate limits of the city.
   (B)   It shall be the duty of the Traffic Commission, whenever authorized and directed by an order of Council, to mark off or cause to be marked off bus stop stops and to erect or cause to be erected signs prohibiting the parking of vehicles in such bus stops. The Traffic Commission shall mark off or cause to be marked off stands for busses and erect or cause to be erected signs prohibiting the parking of vehicles other than busses in such stands.
   (C)   It shall be the duty of the Traffic Commission, whenever authorized and directed by an order of Council, to mark off or cause to be marked off taxicab stands for taxicabs and to erect or cause to be erected signs prohibiting the parking of vehicles other than taxicabs in such stands.
   (D)   It shall be the duty of the Traffic Commission, whenever authorized and directed by an order of Council, to erect or cause to be erected signs indicating truck routes and the parking of vehicles of various weights and sizes.
   (E)   It shall be the duty of the Traffic Commission, whenever authorized and directed by an order of Council, to mark off or cause to be marked off traffic lanes and parts of streets indicating the direction and flow of traffic thereon.
   (F)   It shall be the duty of the Traffic Commission, whenever authorized and directed by an order of Council, to erect or place or cause to be erected or placed signs, markers or devices indicating the flow of pedestrian traffic.
   (G)   Except as otherwise provided, it shall be the duty of the Traffic Commission, whenever authorized and directed by an order of Council, to erect or cause to be erected all other signs, markers or devices on any street in the city indicating the manner in which vehicles shall be operated or parked.
   (H)   The existence of such signs, markers or devices at any place within the corporate limits of the city shall be prima facie evidence that such signs, markers or devices were erected or placed in accordance with the provisions of this section.
   (I)   No person shall fail or refuse to comply with the direction indicated on or by any sign, marker or device erected or placed in accordance with the provisions of this section, when so placed or erected.
