§ 171.11 AUTHORITY OF DEPUTY CLERK TO ISSUE WARRANTS; OATHS; BONDS.
   (A)   Pursuant to the authority granted by W. V. Code § 8-10-4, the Council can vest in the Municipal Court Clerk and Deputy Municipal Court Clerks, the authority to issue warrants for arrest, to administer oaths, and to accept and approve sureties and bonds, in the absence of the Municipal Court Judge, and, by this section, does hereby vest such authority in the Municipal Court Clerk and Deputy Municipal Court Clerks.
   (B)   The salary of the Municipal Court Clerk shall remain as set by Ordinance No. 1313, effective July 1, 2001.
   (C)   The salary of each Deputy Municipal Court Clerk shall be $200 per month. The Deputy Municipal Court Clerk shall be considered a part-time employee, and his or her duties and responsibilities shall be as set forth by the City Manager or City Council.
   (D)   The appointment of the Municipal Court Clerk and Deputy Municipal Court Clerks to perform the aforementioned duties shall be confirmed by City Council; and whose terms shall be consistent with the existing terms of Council to be reappointed with each new Council.
   (E)   Once appointed and confirmed to perform the aforementioned duties, such authority shall only be removed by action of City Council.('71 Code, § 171.11) (Ord. 749, passed 6-11-84; Am. Ord. 1320, passed 7-9-01)
