(A) The city adopts, by reference, the provisions of West Virginia Senate Bill 162, passed March 5, 1992, a copy of which is available for review in the City Clerk's office, with the following amendments:
(1) Article II, Human Rights Commission, § 5-11-3, “Definitions”, subsection (b) is amended by substituting the term “Weirton” in line 7 for the term “West Virginia”;
(2) Subsection (c) thereof is amended by inserting the phrase “Weirton Human Rights Commission” before the term “Commission”;
(3) Subsection (d) thereof is amended by substituting the term “City” for the term “State” in lines 11 and 13;
(4) Subsection (j) thereof is amended by substituting the term “City” for the term “State” in line 42;
(5) Article 11A of the West Virginia Fair Housing Act, § 5-11A-1 is amended by substituting the term “City of Weirton” for the term “West Virginia” in line 1 thereof;
(6) Section 5-11A-2, “Declaration of Policy”, is amended by substituting the term “City of Weirton” for the term “State of West Virginia” in line 1 thereof;
(7) Section 5-11A-3 thereof is amended by substituting the term “Weirton” for the term “West Virginia” in line 2;
(8) Substituting the term “City of Weirton” for the term “State” wherever any such reference therein is made to the term “State”;
(9) Substituting the term “Commission's Attorney” for the term “Attorney General” wherever said term appears in said Act.
(B) Notwithstanding any provision of this article or code to the contrary, the city hereby adopts the provisions of the West Virginia Human Rights Act, W. V. Code Chapter 5, Article 11, and the West Virginia Fair Housing Act, W. V. Code Chapter 5, Article 11-A, in total. Such provisions shall supersede any contrary language or definitions contained in this article.
