§ 149.04 COMPOSITION, APPOINTMENT AND TERMS OF MEMBERS.
   (A)   The Commission shall be composed of seven members, all residents of the city and broadly representative of the groups protected by this article. Applications will be accepted and Council will review all applications and appoint the members of the Commission. No member of the Commission shall hold office in any political party. The appointment of the present Commission members under the term of the former ordinance shall continue until the expiration of their terms or until they resign, or by any guidelines provided by the bylaws outlined by the Commission. All subsequent appointments shall be for terms of three years each, except that appointments to fill vacancies shall be for the unexpired term thereof. Members shall be eligible for reappointment.
   (B)   No member of the Commission shall receive any salary or compensation for his services, as such; but each member shall be reimbursed for any reasonable and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of Commission services, not to exceed allowances as outlined in city policies or the amount allocated for Commission expenses in the city budget.
