(A) The purchasing card is a tool for designated village employees to use when making low dollar purchases for official business needs.
(B) Failure to comply with these procedures will result in the revocation of the use of the card by the user and may result in the termination of the user.
(C) The purchase card may only be used by a current village employee who has submitted the completed card user agreement.
(D) The purchase card must be signed out from the Finance Director and returned there upon completion of purchase.
(E) A purchasing card is not a means to avoid appropriate procurement or payment procedures.
(F) Credit cards are permitted for business materials, supplies, small dollar amount equipments, expenses, and travel expense costs within personnel policy guidelines.
(G) Meal costs on trips are limited to a 20% gratuity.
(H) The purchase of tobacco and alcoholic beverages is expressly prohibited.
(I) The card may not be used for personal transactions.
(J) The card may not be used to access cash (ATM).
