(A) The Zoning Board of Appeals, appointed by Village Council as dictated by Village Charter, shall hear and take action on any decision by the Village Manager or his or her designee regarding zoning for which the petitioner has appropriately filed with the village in application of the appeal.
(B) A Chairperson shall be elected by the members of the Appeals Board. Meetings of the Appeals Board shall be held as needed and shall be held at the call of the Chairperson, or in his or her absence, the acting Chairperson. All meetings of the Appeals Board shall be open to the public except that the Board may deliberate in executive sessions as part of quasi-judicial hearings in accordance with law. The Appeals Board shall keep minutes of its proceedings showing the vote of each member upon each question and shall keep records of all official actions. Records of the Appeals Board shall be kept and filed at the village’s Government Center.
