(a) Excessive False Alarms. It is hereby found and determined that three false alarms within a one-year period is excessive, constitutes a public nuisance, and shall be unlawful. Civil penalties for false alarms within a one-year period may be assessed against an alarm user for each occurrence as follows:
(1) Third false alarm: $250.00
(2) Fourth or more false alarm: $250.00.
(b) Payment of Civil Penalty. Civil penalty(ies) shall be paid within thirty calendar days from the date of the invoice.
(c) Failure to Pay. Any civil payments that are not paid at year-end may be added to the property owner's property tax assessment.
(d) Civil Violation. A violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be a civil violation and shall not constitute a misdemeanor or infraction.
