1501.23 DISPLAY OF STREET ADDRESSES.
   (a)   Owners of all premises, except vacant land, shall display the street address of the premises in a conspicuous place visible and legible from the public right-of-way to which the address applies.  The address shall be displayed in Arabic numbers rather than spelled out in words.  In the case of a premises such as a condominium, where the City has assigned an address on a private street, the foregoing regulations shall apply relative to the private street rather than a public right-of-way.  The determination concerning the legibility of such address shall be made by the Fire Chief.
   (b)   In addition to the requirements of Section 1501.23(a), owners of all non-residential buildings that contain two (2) or more tenant spaces shall also display the appropriate addresses on the outside of all of the rear doors of such buildings.  All such rear door addresses shall be displayed in Arabic numbers a minimum of three inches (3") high with a minimum stroke of one- half inch (½").  The numbers shall consist of a color high in contrast to the background-mounting surface.  The determination concerning the legibility of such address shall be made by the Fire Chief.  (Ord. 13-16.  Passed 8-22-16.)
