“Shared use path” means a path or way that is physically separated from motorized vehicular traffic by an open space or a barrier and is located either within a road right-of-way, a separate right-of-way or other public land; the use of which is shared by bicyclists, pedestrians, joggers, skaters, users of wheelchairs or motorized wheelchairs, users of electric personal assistive mobility devices and other non-motorized users.
