In the event valid nominating petitions are filed in accordance with Section 8.01
of this Charter by candidates for elective offices for a full term in excess of two (2) times the number to be elected at any regular municipal election, a nonpartisan primary election for the nomination of candidates for such office to be voted for at said regular municipal election shall be held on the second Tuesday after the first Monday in May, immediately preceding such regular municipal election. At such primary election, the names of all candidates for such office who have filed nominating petitions in accordance with the provisions of Section 8.01
of this Charter shall be placed upon the ballot.
