§ 50.23 PROPER PRE-COLLECTION PRACTICES.
   (A)   Suitable containers. Garbage and rubbish receptacles must be of a galvanized metal or plastic or other like material with handles or bail and closefitting covers, and shall be watertight and shall have a capacity of not less than five gallons nor more than 27 gallons and be kept in a sanitary condition.
   (B)   Location of containers on collection days. The town, or its duly authorized agency, shall collect all garbage and rubbish providing such garbage and rubbish is deposited in proper containers and placed on the street curb or at the edge of an all-weather alley or in a location and at a time as designated by the collecting agency unless otherwise approved by the Town Council.
   (C)   Preparation of wastes. Garbage shall be carefully drained and wrapped before depositing in receptacles. Trees, limbs, boxes and other articles of unwieldy size or shape will only be acceptable for collection if they are broken or cut down to size suitable for handling and transporting, and the Town Council shall have authority to prescribe the maximum size and weight thereof from time to time and have final authority for deciding if garbage is properly prepared.
