§ 131.01 EXPLOSIVES, FIREWORKS, AND WEAPONS PROHIBITED.
   Any person who shall discharge any cannon, gun, fowling piece, or firearm of any description, except on his or her premises, so that no bullet or shot shall go beyond the same, or who shall fire or explode any squib, torpedo, rocket, firecracker, fireball, mine or other explosive or combustible material within the limits of the town without license so to do shall be guilty of a violation; provided, however, that the provisions of this section shall not apply to occasions of public rejoicing under competent and careful control, or to assemblages of the state militia or federal troops in charge of regular officers. But no gun, revolver, or pistol loaded with shot or ball shall be discharged within the town on said days and under said provisions except to quell riots and disturbances and the maintenance of the public peace.
