By authority of ordinance, the city council, adopted pursuant to the powers and jurisdictions vested through Iowa Code chapter 354 and other applicable laws, statutes, ordinances and regulations of the state, the city council does hereby exercise the power and authority to review, approve and disapprove plats for subdivision of land within the corporate limits of the city or unincorporated areas within two (2) miles of the corporate limits of the city.
