The city recognizes that there are enormous advantages to utilizing an organization to oversee projects having a regional impact, to market on a regional basis, and to apply for state funding on specific projects in collaboration with one or more other municipalities. To that end, the city and the Borough of Naugatuck have agreed to utilize Naugatuck Valley Regional Development Corporation ("NVRDC"), a Connecticut non-stock corporation, for regional marketing, project management and funding applications and for any other matter permitted by law. WDC will continue to serve those city functions prescribed under City Code §§ 31.265 et. seq.
