(A) Every dwelling unit shall have safe, unobstructed means of egress leading to safe and open space at ground level as required by the statutes, ordinances and regulations of the state and the city and approved by the Fire Department.
(B) In the case of two dwelling units sharing a kitchen, as provided in § 154.036(B), egress from the common kitchen may be deemed sufficient compliance with this section.
