§ 31.181 MEMBERSHIP.
   The Board of Assessment Appeals shall consist of three members, none of whom shall be members of the same political party.
   (A)   Appointments; term of office. No later than July 1, 2004, the Mayor shall appoint one member whose term shall expire on December 31, 2004, one member whose term shall expire on December 31, 2005, and one member whose term shall expire on December 31, 2006. At the expiration of their respective terms, their successors shall be appointed for a term of four years.
   (B)   Additional appointments. Additional members may be appointed in any assessment year, or any other time allowed by the general statutes.
   (C)   No compensation. Members shall serve without compensation, but may be reimbursed for any necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their official duties within the limitations of appropriations.
   (D)   Secretary and record keeping. The City Clerk shall act as secretary and record keeper for the Board.
