§ 31.166 DIRECTOR.
   (A)   The Mayor shall appoint a Director of the Housing Office, who shall serve at the Mayor's pleasure.
   (B)   The Director shall be responsible for administration of the Housing Office, including, but not limited to:
      (1)   Personnel selection, supervision, management and development;
      (2)   Budget development and administration;
      (3)   Program planning, policy and execution;
      (4)   Oversight of office operations and procedures;
      (5)   Other related administrative and managerial functions;
      (6)   Staff support to the Housing and Neighborhood Development Board established under this subchapter and any other city entities regarding housing developments and grants; and
      (7)   All other powers and duties of housing office not expressly required by the general statutes or ordinance to be exercised by the Housing and Neighborhood Development Board established under this subchapter.
   (C)   The Director may appoint, with the approval of the Mayor, employees and staff, hire consultants, and purchase supplies, services and construction necessary for the discharge of the office's duties, within the limits of available appropriations.
