§ 94.39 PERMITS FOR APPRENTICES SERVICING FIRE EXTINGUISHERS.
   (A)   Each person servicing portable fire extinguishers in the city as an apprentice shall be required to have an apprentice permit issued by the Fire Department.

   (B)   (1)   Any person desiring to service fire extinguishers as an apprentice shall make a written verified application.
      (2)   This application must be signed by the prospective employer who holds a valid certificate of registration.
      (3)   This apprentice permit must be applied for on forms provided by the Fire Department and the prescribed fee must be paid.

   (C)   The Fire Department shall give each apprentice permit an identifying number and each such permit shall be readily identifiable as an apprentice permit.

   (D)   Every apprentice permit issued pursuant to this section shall be renewed each year, limited to two such renewals.

   (E)   (1)   A person holding an apprentice permit cannot perform any servicing of a portable fire extinguisher, except under the complete control of a person holding a valid license to perform the servicing.
      (2)   The person holding the license shall be completely responsible for any work done by a person holding an apprentice permit.
