§ 93.21 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER. The Mayor of the City of Waterbury.
   DISCRIMINATORY HOUSING PRACTICE. As outlined under §§ 804 through 806 of the Fair Housing Act (Pub. L. No. 90-284), being 42 U.S.C. §§ 3604 through 3606, defined as an act that is unlawful in the sale or rental of housing; an act that is unlawful in the financing of housing; an act that is unlawful in the provision of brokerage services.
   FAMILY. Includes a single individual.
   PERSON. Includes one or more individuals, corporations, partnerships, associations, labor organizations, legal representatives, mutual companies, trusts, unincorporated organizations, trustees in bankruptcy, receiverships and fiduciaries.
   TO RENT. Includes to lease, sublease, to let or otherwise grant for a consideration the right to occupy premises not owned by the occupant.
   UNIT. Any dwelling which is habitable and occupied as or designed or intended for occupancy as a residence as per requisites of the Waterbury Housing Code.
