§ 70.50 FINES FOR PARKING IN ZONE.
   Whenever a vehicle is found standing in violation of § 70.48, a police officer shall serve upon the owner or operator of the vehicle, or place upon the vehicle, a notice (tag) directing the owner or operator thereof to either appear in person and pay the amount as set forth in the schedule of fees, charges, penalties and rewards attached to the annual budget of the city, pursuant to § 41.11 of this code or mail a check or money order for the sum to the Police Department, within 48 hours subsequent to the issuance of the notice or pay the amount as set forth in the schedule of fees, charges, penalties and rewards attached to the annual budget of the city, pursuant to § 41.11 of this code in the above manner after the expiration of 48 hours. When the appropriate payment is made, it shall act as a bar to prosecution for violation of § 70.48.
