Storm water and all other unpolluted drainage shall be discharged to the sewers as are specifically designated as combined sewers or storm sewers, or to a natural outlet approved by the City Engineer. Industrial cooling water or unpolluted process waters may be discharged, on approval of the City Engineer, to a storm sewer, combined sewer or natural outlet. (The existing ordinance, "An Ordinance to Prohibit and Prevent the Discharge of Oil, Oil Refuse, Volatile Inflammable Liquid, Gas or Vapor in Any of the Sewers in the City of Waterbury", shall remain in effect.)
