(A) At least three months prior to the expiration of the contract, the appointing authority or designee shall notify the Director of Human Resources and the department head or designated management employee whether the contract will be renewed.
(B) In the event timely notification is not given, the contract shall be extended by the length of the three-month period of notification or the length indicated in the employment contract whichever is longer, except in no event shall the extension exceed six months.
