§ 99.04 NOTICE OF VIOLATION.
   (A)   The Code Enforcement Officer of the city shall investigate any alleged violation of this chapter that comes to his or her attention and, upon determining that a violation has occurred, he or she shall issue a ten day written notice to the owner of the real property upon which the violation occurs, to remove the vegetation.
   (B)   The notice shall be in writing and shall contain the following information:
      (1)   Description of the violation of this chapter;
      (2)   Address or the real property on which the violation occurs;
      (3)   Order of abatement to abate the violation and remove the offending vegetation within ten days of receipt of the notice; and
      (4)   That failing to comply with the order of abatement will result in the city entering the real property for the purposes of abating the violation, and the cost thereof, together with administrative expenses, shall be billed to the owner, and if not paid within 30 days, certified to the Daviess County Auditor for collection as delinquent property taxes are collected.
   (C)   The notice shall be mailed by first class mail, posted on the property or served by an equivalent means as permitted under I.C. 1-1-7-1, to the owner of the real property where the violation occurs/ as shown on the most recent records of the Daviess County Auditor. In the event there are multiple owners, notice to at least one of the owners in accordance with the foregoing shall be sufficient.
