The planning commission may withhold approval of a preliminary plat for one year if all or part of the area to be subdivided may be needed for a park, school, street or other purpose. The planning commission should notify the appropriate agency in writing of the proposed subdivision. If proper means have not been initiated to acquire the desired property within one year, the owner may then subdivide in compliance with the provisions of this title. (Ord., 6-5-2000)
